NewSigma is built for people to discover News, create in Sigma and participate in a community. This page provides a simple starting point for handling safety, privacy, account-security and reporting concerns.
1. Keep Your Account Secure
- Keep your password, OTPs and authentication information private. NewSigma will not ask you to share a password through an unsolicited message.
- Use current and accurate account information where required.
- Do not sell, lend, rent, transfer or otherwise provide your account credentials to another person without permission.
- If you believe your account has been compromised, change your credentials where possible and contact support@newsigma.in.
2. Watch for Scams and Phishing
Be cautious with messages that ask for passwords, OTPs, payment information or unusual account actions. Do not open suspicious links or install software at someone else's request. Verify requests through official NewSigma channels.
3. Report Content or Accounts
When you encounter content or an account that may violate NewSigma rules, use the available in-app reporting mechanism. Where appropriate, provide the relevant post or profile and enough information to help with review.
- Harassment, threats or unlawful conduct
- Fraud, scams, phishing or malicious activity
- Impersonation or materially misleading identity claims
- Privacy-invasive or sexually exploitative content
- Content involving the sexual exploitation of minors
- Copyright or other intellectual-property concerns
- Manipulation of engagement, Weekly Sigma or reward systems
4. Child and Minor Safety
NewSigma may be used by people of different ages, and age, consent and feature-specific requirements may apply depending on the user and the relevant feature. NewSigma maintains heightened safeguards around content involving minors and does not knowingly permit processing prohibited by applicable law.
If you encounter content or conduct that raises a child-safety or minor-safety concern, report it through the available reporting mechanism or contact grievance@newsigma.in. NewSigma may restrict access, investigate and take other steps permitted or required by law.
5. Serious and Sensitive Reports
Certain sensitive complaints, including qualifying requests relating to private areas, nudity, sexual acts or conduct, or electronic impersonation including artificially morphed images, may be handled through an expedited process under the applicable rules. See the Grievance Redressal Policy for the current procedure and timelines.
6. Privacy and Personal Information
Avoid posting another person's private information without a lawful basis or permission. Public content can be viewed, copied or shared by others, and NewSigma cannot control copies made outside the Platform. See the Privacy Policy for information about personal-data practices.
7. Copyright and Intellectual Property
Only upload content that you are permitted to use. If you believe your copyrighted or other protected work has been used unlawfully on NewSigma, use the process described in the Copyright and Intellectual-Property Reporting Policy or contact legal@newsigma.in.
8. Appeals and Grievances
If NewSigma takes action on content or an account and an appeal mechanism is available, you may use the applicable in-app or other appeal process. Formal Platform grievances can be submitted through grievance@newsigma.in.
9. How NewSigma Responds
NewSigma may use reports, automated systems, human review, technical signals and other appropriate methods to detect and respond to abuse, fraud, manipulation, security incidents and policy violations. Automated systems may make mistakes, and where appropriate NewSigma may use human review and available appeal or complaint mechanisms.
Immediate danger: If you believe someone faces an immediate risk of serious harm, contact the appropriate local emergency or law-enforcement service in your location.
